Oxytocin

Well-being, peace, sleep, happiness, love, bonding.

What is Oxytocin?

Oxytocin is a natural hormone in the body that plays an important role in establishing and maintaining relationships. It has the power to regulate our emotional responses and pro-social behaviors, including trust, empathy, gazing, positive memories, processing of bonding cues, and positive communication. Thanks to oxytocin, we get a toasty, tranquil feeling whenever we’re with the people we care about. Oxytocin is also connected to serotonin and dopamine. This trio of neurotransmitters is often referred to as the “happy hormones,” and for good reason. Under the right conditions, they work as a team to make us feel butterflies. Whenever we’re with someone whom we’re attracted to or care about, our brain releases dopamine, serotonin levels increase, Oxytocin is produced, and you get bonding.

What happens if my levels of Oxytocin are low?

Low Oxytocin levels have been linked to autism and autistic spectrum disorders (e.g. Asperger Syndrome). A key element of these disorders is poor social functioning. Low Oxytocin levels have also been linked to depressive symptoms and it’s been a proposed treatment for depression, anxiety, and insomnia. It’s also linked to appetite. The effects of Oxytocin on eating behavior and metabolism are being studied more and more. A recent series of studies show that Oxytocin reduces activity in the hypothalamus, an area of the brain that controls hunger, and increases activity in parts of the brain associated with impulse control

“Whoever thinks that this product doesn't work, must not be deficient in Oxytocin production. As for me, this product makes all of the difference in the world. It is very very effective, and I very much appreciate it.” -B.B.

“Feel the need to cuddle with someone but live in 2021 with covid-19 where that isn't something you can do, and it makes you depressed? Buy this. It is the same hormone you produce when you have contact with someone else and with covid-19, we can't do that. This works like a charm and gives the same warm fuzzy feeling. I used to be a raver and live for the cuddle puddles but no one does that anymore. Highly recommended for those feeling disconnected from the world during covid. Buying more now.”-Jeremee

“It's penicillin for the brain. I have children drive me nuts and pets I deal with every day. I get random drug tests at work. CBD is not possible and alcohol can only help so much. This is a little bit of goodness for me thank you.” - Ellias

“I like this product because it actually helps me. It relieves the stress and anxiety that I have when I am around people. Also, it gives me a sense of calm during a panic attack.” -Louis

“It does help boost your spirits.” -Bobbi
